Ntokozo Nzima

Ntokozo Nzima is a Partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the M&A Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions and corporate and commercial law. She has experience in domestic and cross‑border private M&A, share and asset acquisitions and disposals, black economic empowerment transactions, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, and general corporate and commercial matters.

Ntokozo has advised Qatar Airways on its acquisition of a shareholding interest in Airlink; African Rainbow Minerals on its ZAR 3.5 billion acquisition of the Bokoni Platinum mine and its C$3.8 million investment in Surge Copper Corp; Yamana Gold Inc. on its proposed USD 6.7 billion combination with Gold Fields; Absa Bank on the formation of the African Rainbow Energy Fund Partnership; Komatsu Ltd on its acquisition of GHH Group GmbH; and Caledonia Mining Plc on the sale of its 12 MW solar power plant at the Blanket gold mine in Zimbabwe. She has also advised on the consortium acquisition of Proconics, the restructuring of debt provided to a multi‑jurisdictional telecommunications company, and the half‑billion Rand restructure of a major retail company.

Ntokozo holds a BCom (Law) and an LL.B, and has completed Advanced Company Law II. She spent six months working in Linklaters' London office in the Corporate team. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
