Misty Keep

Misty Keep is a Partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions and corporate and commercial law. She focuses on private M&A, company law, and general commercial law, and is known for her creative approach to finding solutions to challenging legal issues.

Misty has advised RPM International Inc on its acquisition of the businesses of Advanced Materials Technology and GAIA Composites through its South African subsidiary; Ardagh on its approximately ZAR 10 billion acquisition of the Consol Glass Group, which was named M&A Deal of the Year at the IFLR Africa Awards 2022; MTN (Dubai) Limited on the sale of 50% of aYo Holdings to Sanlam; Ata Resources on its proposed acquisition of Universal Coal Plc by way of a scheme of arrangement; SABMiller on the combination of soft-drink bottling operations to create Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, the biggest bottler of soft drinks in Africa; and Rand Merchant Investment Holdings on its asset management joint ventures with MMI and Royal Bafokeng Holdings.

Misty holds a BCom and an LL.B (cum laude) from Stellenbosch University, and a Certificate in Advanced Company Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a Notary Public of the High Court of South Africa.
