Matthew Baudewig

Matthew Baudewig is an Associate at Bowmans' Cape Town office, specializing in tax law and advising South African and foreign corporates across a wide range of industries including banking and financial services, private equity, information and communications technology, media and telecommunications, consumer goods, utilities, energy, mining and property.

He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate tax issues, acquisition funding, international tax matters, exchange control, executive incentive schemes, and establishing a business presence in South Africa. He also has experience in corporate restructuring, tax due diligence, tax dispute resolution, and tax opinions.

Matthew holds an LL.B and an Advanced Certificate in Tax Law from the University of Cape Town. He is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
