Mark Linington

Mark Linington is an Executive in the Tax practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specializing in Tax Advisory Law. He focuses on tax structuring for mergers and acquisitions, private equity fund formation and portfolio movements, business restructurings, and Broad‑Based Black Economic Empowerment structuring.

Mark has over 30 years of experience advising leading businesses and private equity funds, including Infinite Partners, Leapfrog, Medu Capital, Metier, Old Mutual Private Equity, and RMB Corvest, on acquisitions and disposals. He has advised the Bud Group on restructuring, refinancing, and acquisitions; assisted Old Mutual Life Assurance Company on restructuring of the IDEAS platform; and advised on distressed debt structuring and recapitalisation for Ascendis Health and Mpact Polymers.

He holds a B Compt from the University of South Africa and H Dip Acc and H Dip Tax from the University of Durban Westville. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
