Manyaku Thulare

Manyaku Thulare is an Associate in the Finance and Projects practice, specialising in Banking and Finance Law. She advises clients on domestic and cross‑border financing transactions, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, and preference share funding.

She has assisted in advising two banks on financing exceeding ZAR 1 billion for the acquisition of one of South Africa's leading oil companies, and advised mezzanine and subordinated funders on the financing of Seriti Green's 155MW first phase wind energy facility, which forms part of the larger 900MW Ummbila Emoyeni renewable energy project. She was also part of the legal team representing the Helen Suzman Foundation in a strategic public interest review application against the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the termination of the Zimbabwe Exemption Permits.

Manyaku holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Pretoria (2022) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Rhodes University (2020). She is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
