Mantsebo Lekgetho

Mantsebo Lekgetho is a Senior Manager in the Governance, Compliance and Investigations Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in compliance law and forensic investigations. She holds BCom Law and LL.B degrees and is admitted as an advocate. After starting her career as a prosecutor for the National Prosecuting Authority in 2005, she was recruited as a Senior Legal Advisor for Combined Private Investigations, SA, before serving as a Manager in the Fraud Investigations and Dispute Services at Ernst & Young and joining Bowmans in 2017.

Mantsebo has extensive experience in forensic investigation, non‑compliance investigation, obtaining and collection of evidence, compilation of documentation, and review of evidence. She has led major public sector investigations into fraud, corruption, procurement irregularities, conflict of interest, collusive tendering, and maladministration across national and provincial government departments, municipalities, and public entities. She has successfully managed projects for Lepelle‑Nkumpi Local Municipality, Limpopo COGHSTA, Polokwane Local Municipality, Capricorn District Municipality, and the South African Reserve Bank, and has provided litigation support to the National Treasury and law enforcement agencies including the HAWKS. Her work covers compliance with the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Municipal Finance Management Act, Prevention and Combatting of Corrupt Activities Act, and other applicable legislation.

Mantsebo holds BCom Law and LL.B degrees and was admitted as an advocate in the Free State Bar in 2008.
