Manisha Bugwandeen-Doorasamy

Manisha Bugwandeen-Doorasamy is an Executive in the Intellectual Property & Innovation practice at ENS, specialising in trade mark law and brand portfolio management.

She advises local and international clients across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, finance, clothing and footwear, building and construction, gaming, educational institutions, and cosmetics and perfumery. Her work includes trade mark searching, strategic brand advice and implementation, filing and prosecution of trade mark applications both locally and internationally, trade mark maintenance, assignments and formalities, and comprehensive brand portfolio management. She analyses trade mark search results and prepares opinions, handles trade mark classification, and files international trade mark applications.

She holds an LL.B from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is a qualified Trade Mark Practitioner, a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL), and an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.

She is recognised by World Trademark Review (WTR) and The Legal 500 EMEA as a leading practitioner in trade mark prosecution and strategy.
