Lungelo Magubane

Lungelo Magubane is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Department at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and cross‑border transactions. He advises clients on corporate transactions, including private equity, due diligence, and general corporate advisory matters.

Lungelo has advised on a number of significant domestic and cross‑border transactions. His experience includes advising SPX Flow Inc on its take‑private by Lone Star Funds; Three Hills Capital Partners on a private members' clubs joint venture; Advent International and Cobham Group on the sale of CAES Systems Holdings LLC to Honeywell International; Barloworld on the acquisition of Tongaat Hulett's starch division; and Adenia Partners on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Kanu Equipment. He has also advised Rand Merchant Bank, as bookrunner, on the IPO and listing of African Rainbow Capital Investments on the JSE.

Lungelo holds an LL.B from the University of KwaZulu‑Natal and has completed Advanced Company Law I and II at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
