John Zieff

John Zieff is an Executive in the firm's Dispute Resolution practice at ENS, based in Johannesburg. He specialises in contractual disputes, corporate disputes (with particular emphasis on directors' fiduciary responsibilities and shareholder rights), pension law, constitutional law, and administrative law.

Mr. Zieff has extensive experience in the regulatory fields of various sectors, including mining, gambling, energy, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals, and has represented clients in high-profile matters involving pension law, constitutional law, administrative law, and tax litigation. He also has extensive experience in arbitrations and is a corporate member of the London Court of International Arbitration African Users Council.

He holds a BA and an LLB (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Cape Town, and completed the Leading Professional Service Firms Course at Harvard Business School. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.

John has been consistently recognized by Chambers Global, The Legal 500 EMEA, and Best Lawyers in Dispute Resolution and Litigation, and was named Litigation Lawyer of the Year in South Africa by Best Lawyers in 2016 and 2017.
