Gomolemo Tau

Gomolemo Tau is an Associate at ENS in the Intellectual Property & Innovation practice, focusing on Intellectual Property Law. She specialises in contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters including trade mark, domain name and copyright litigation, and the commercialisation of intellectual property, namely licensing and assignment of trade marks and conducting due diligences from a corporate law and intellectual property law perspective pursuant to sale of shares and sale of business agreements.

Her experience includes advising on the management and strategy for worldwide trade mark portfolios for ICT and FMCG companies, management of regulatory oversight in South Africa and key markets in Sub-Saharan Africa for the launch of a multinational Streaming Video on Demand (SVOD) service, and assisting with submissions to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa.

In addition, Gomolemo is experienced in media classification exemptions and compliance, data compliance, commercial litigation, public interest, mergers and acquisitions, and international trade law. She has advised clients in the logistics, pharmaceutical and telecommunication sectors.

She is a member of the South African Institution of Intellectual Property. She holds a BCom and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
