Dharshini Naidoo

Dharshini Naidoo is a Senior Associate at DLA Piper in Johannesburg, specialising in Competition Law. She provides strategic and pragmatic advice on all aspects of competition law, including merger control across Africa, prohibited practices, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance, and competition compliance and dawn raid training.

She has advised Shoprite Checkers on the disposal of its African furniture and related credit business to Pepkor for a purchase price of approximately ZAR 3 billion, and Haier Smart Home on its acquisition of Electrolux Group's equity interests in Electrolux South Africa for ZAR 2.45 billion. She has also advised on complex merger control filings and competition investigations across multiple African jurisdictions.

Dharshini holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Competition Law from King's College London (2023), an LL.M from the University of Cape Town (2018), and an LL.B from the University of Cape Town (2017). She is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Association of Competition Law Practitioners.
