Charles de Wet

Charles de Wet is an Executive at ENS in the Tax practice. His practice focuses on Tax Law, specialising in value-added tax (VAT).

He has nearly three decades' experience in advising local and international clients across multiple industries, including financial services companies, higher education and universities, as well as public benefit organisations.

Charles was part of the team at the South African Revenue Service that implemented VAT in South Africa in 1991.

He holds a BAcc from Stellenbosch University, a BCompt CTA (Honours) from the University of South Africa, and a BComm in Tax (Honours) from the University of Cape Town, and is a Chartered Accountant (SA). He is recognised by Chambers Global Guide for Tax: Indirect Tax, by The Legal 500 EMEA for Tax, and by the World Tax Review for Indirect Tax in South Africa.
