Celia Becker

Celia Becker is an Executive at ENS and an expert in Africa regulatory and business intelligence. Her practice focuses on Tax Law, specialising in advising large multinationals expanding into Africa.

Celia advises on the tax-efficient structuring of investments, country risk profiles and tax and regulatory compliance requirements of countries throughout Africa, as well as the in-country application of legislative provisions.

She has vast experience in liaising with local counsel in African jurisdictions and ensuring, where required, the management and quality-checking of legal advice, assuring clients of the highest level of service.

Celia is a South African-qualified Chartered Accountant. She started her career as an International Tax Advisor at a Big 4 accounting firm and spent six years at a multinational construction company as Country Risk Director. She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and is a regular contributor of African jurisdictional content to various publications.

She holds a BCom in Accounting (Honours) from the University of Pretoria, an H Dip in International Tax from the University of Johannesburg and an MCom in Taxation from the University of Pretoria, and is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa). She is recognised by Best Lawyers for Tax Law in South Africa.
