Carlyn Frittelli Davies

Carlyn Frittelli Davies is a Consultant at ENS, practicing in the Natural Resources and Environment group, specializing in Environmental Law. She advises on environmentally‑related authorisations, appeals and reviews, administrative and criminal proceedings, and environmental indemnities and warranties in commercial agreements, with particular expertise in the regulatory aspects of the establishment, closure, and rehabilitation of mines.

Carlyn conducts environmental and mining due diligence investigations, advises on mining and prospecting rights, prepares legal registers, and liaises with government officials in administrative and criminal proceedings. She is an expert in B‑BBEE in the South African mining industry under the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act and the Mining Charter. She has acted for clients across the industrial, manufacturing, retail, energy, waste management, and mining sectors.

She holds an LL.B (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Law from the University of Cape Town. She is admitted as an Attorney and Notary of the High Court of South Africa.
