Brigitte Westermeyer

Brigitte Westermeyer is an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial department of the Cape Town office, practicing in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions practice. She has experience in a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions, including private equity and venture capital transactions, domestic and cross-border private M&A, broad-based black economic empowerment transactions, due diligence investigations, and corporate governance issues.

Ms. Westermeyer has advised Capitec Bank Holdings on its acquisition of approximately 57.03% of the issued shares of AvaFin Holding Ltd, Ampersand Capital Partners on its portfolio company P95 BV's acquisition of On Q Research Proprietary Limited, and Microchem Bluesky on the sale of SA Lab Experts Proprietary Limited to AGQ Technological Corporate. She also advised Kuunda Holdings on its USD 5 million pre-series A capital raise and a South African software development company on its internal restructuring to facilitate the entry of a B-BBEE partner.

She holds a BCom in Economics, an LLB (cum laude), and an LLM in Commercial Law (with distinction) from the University of Cape Town, and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
