Balindile Shezi

Balindile Shezi is an Executive in the firm's Employment Law practice at ENS, based in South Africa. She specialises in South African employment law, advising on issues arising from the Labour Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and the Employment Equity Act.

Her experience includes assisting clients with ministerial determinations for exemptions from BCEA provisions, advising on employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and handling distress, restructuring, and business rescue matters. She has extensive experience in collective bargaining, including wage negotiations, strike management, and industrial relations. She regularly appears at the CCMA, bargaining councils, and the Labour Court.

Balindile holds a BA and an LLB from Rhodes University and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Labour and Employment Law and Employee Benefits Law, and by The Legal 500 EMEA as a Key Lawyer in Employment.
