Andre October

Andre October is a Partner at Webber Wentzel in Cape Town, specializing in maritime law and maritime insurance law.

He has extensive experience in commercial litigation, acting for both public and private clients in the transport sector, including maritime and aviation-related matters. Prior to joining Webber Wentzel, he worked at South African Airways, which informs his expertise in aviation litigation.

Andre holds an LL.B from the University of South Africa (2011), a Postgraduate Programme in Advanced Marketing Management from the University of South Africa (1998), and a B.Soc.Sci (Economics and Industrial Sociology) from the University of Cape Town (1994). He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.

He is recognized by Best Lawyers (2021–2026) and The Legal 500 (2024–2025). He is a member of the Maritime Law Association of South Africa and serves as Chairperson of its Cape Chapter.
