Aanisah Ramroop

Aanisah Ramroop is a Consultant in the firm's Dispute Resolution practice, based in the Cape Town office, specializing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. She advises on corporate restructuring, business rescue, liquidations, and sequestrations, representing creditors (particularly financial institutions), insolvency practitioners, and business rescue practitioners.

Her experience includes advising liquidators and trustees on the administration process, sale of assets, security disputes, objections to accounts, review applications, and impeachable transactions. She also represents foreign appointees in recognition and asset recovery matters in South Africa, and advises business rescue practitioners on provisions of the Companies Act, disputed claims, post-commencement finance, and the moratorium on legal proceedings.

Aanisah holds an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a member of INSOL International and the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association, and has completed the SARIPA Programme in Insolvency Law and Practice (2013) and the Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue (2016). She has been rated as a Rising Star by IFLR1000 in Restructuring and Insolvency for five consecutive years (2021-2025).
