Vasti Mazikana

Vasti Mazikana is a Consultant in the Banking and Finance Department at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in Banking and Finance Law. She advises clients on preference share funding transactions, including B‑BBEE transactions, structured finance, secured and syndicated lending, as well as general corporate and commercial matters.

She has advised on the restructuring of Mediclinic's B‑BBEE transaction, preference share funding in the Vodacom B‑BBEE structures, the restructuring of the Shanduka/Pembani Group, and preference share financing of original shareholders in a SPAC listing. She has also advised on the financing of a shopping mall in Zambia, numerous preference share funding transactions for acquisitions and projects, and advised B‑BBEE groups on acquisitions and raising of funding.

She holds BCom and LLB degrees from Stellenbosch University.
