Tshepo Mokoana

Tshepo Mokoana is a Senior Associate in the Employment and Benefits Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in employment law and pensions law. He advises on both corporate and contentious employment matters, including the consequences of business transfers on employment, employment due diligence in M&A transactions, employment contracts, workplace policies, workplace investigations, executive exit strategies, and dispute resolution before the CCMA, bargaining councils, the Labour Court, and the Labour Appeal Court.

Tshepo has advised various multinational corporations on executive exit strategies, conducted workplace harassment investigations, and advised on employment considerations in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. He has also advised pension fund boards on the distribution of death benefits and the withholding of retirement benefits, advised a South African multinational energy company on withdrawing from a collective agreement that binds employees to membership of a union-affiliated provident fund, and advised a state-owned rail company on the implementation of consequence management for executives pursuant to allegations of corruption in an internal forensic report.
