Siphamandla Dube

Siphamandla Dube is an Executive at ENS in the Employment practice. His practice focuses on Employment Law, specialising in collective and individual labour disputes, as well as the implementation of employment equity and labour policies.

He has acted for clients in a variety of industries including mining, construction and energy, aviation, chemicals, the public sector, fast-moving consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

Siphamandla's experience includes representing clients in disputes before the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, various Bargaining Councils and the Labour Courts. He has assisted clients with collective bargaining and strike management, retrenchments under sections 189 and 189A of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, and the consequences of business transfers in terms of section 197 of the LRA.

He is also experienced in assisting clients on managing trade union marches or gatherings in terms of the Regulation of Gatherings Act, 1993, and protest action in terms of section 77 of the LRA. He is skilled in advising and representing clients in respect of restraint of trade disputes and advising employers on managing sexual harassment complaints in the workplace, and has also assisted many clients with retirement fund issues.

His experience further extends to preparing and advising clients on the implementation of employment-related policies and procedures, chairing disciplinary hearings, and conducting investigations and preparing reports on behalf of clients. He holds an LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Postgraduate Certificate in Pension Funds Law from the Nelson Mandela Institute, and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He is recognised by The Legal 500 EMEA for Employment in South Africa.
