Sanele Vilakazi

Sanele Vilakazi is an Associate in the Employment and Benefits Practice at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in employment law, labour dispute resolution, and workplace investigations. She advises local and international corporate and public sector clients across sectors including FMCG, entertainment, media, aviation, technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, construction, and mining on organisational restructures, collective and individual labour law, and compliance matters.

Sanele has experience with employment litigation at the CCMA, various Bargaining Councils, the Labour Court, and the Labour Appeal Court, including review applications, urgent applications, and trial proceedings. She has conducted workplace investigations, initiated and completed disciplinary hearings, and advised on workplace misconduct, grievances, and compliance. She has also assisted with drafting, updating, and revising employment policies and contracts, and conducted training on dismissal and harassment-related topics.

Sanele holds a BA in Politics and International Relations and an LL.B, both from the University of the Witwatersrand.
