Megan Sturgeon

Megan Sturgeon is a Director in the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations practice, specialising in international arbitration and commercial dispute resolution. She handles corporate disputes, international and domestic arbitration, cross‑border litigation, shareholder disputes, fraud, and investigations across all sectors, with particular expertise in cross‑border disputes and enforcement proceedings.

She provides advice to a telecommunications company on contractual disputes concerning alleged breach of warranties, advises on regulatory matters under the Financial Sector Regulation Act and the Financial Markets Act, and advises private companies on reporting obligations under the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act (PRECCA). She also has experience in the enforcement of arbitral awards, conducting fraud investigations, and advising on jurisdictional and enforcement issues across multiple jurisdictions.

Megan holds a BA (Law) and BA (LLB) from Stellenbosch University (2003 and 2008), and a Certificate of Competence in Advanced Company Law I & II (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, a member of the International Bar Association, and has contributed to publications on international arbitration.
