Brian Mashimbyi

Brian Mashimbyi is an Associate at ENS, practicing in the Mine and Occupational Health & Safety team, specializing in Employment Law. He advises clients on occupational health and safety regulatory compliance, conducting due diligence investigations, preparing clients following fatal accidents, and representing clients at formal inquiry proceedings under the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996.

Brian also provides legal opinions on legislative requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, 1993, and has assisted with appeal applications under section 35 of the OHASA and legal opinions on the Explosives Act, 1956.

He holds a BA and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand and is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
