Andrew Donnelly

Andrew Donnelly is a Consultant and former Head of the Litigation Division at Shepstone & Wylie in Durban, with over 30 years of experience as a commercial dispute lawyer. He has practiced and appeared in arbitration and court forums, with a primary focus on construction and engineering disputes, representing corporate and government bodies under GCC, JBCC, and NEC contracts. He also specialises in preparing and submitting documents for adjudications and mediations in the construction and building fields.

He has handled high‑profile tender and judicial review cases, including successfully representing ACSA in a judicial review of the appointment of the main contractor for King Shaka Airport. He has also practiced in banking law, credit law, insolvency law, and business rescue, representing banks and creditors in their disputes and claims. He holds diplomas in insolvency law and business rescue and has been involved in recent high‑profile business rescue matters in KwaZulu‑Natal.

Andrew holds a BA and LLB from the University of KwaZulu‑Natal (UKZN) and is a Notary Public.
