Suemeya Hanif

Suemeya Hanif is an Executive in the firm's Employment Law practice at ENS, based in South Africa. She advises and represents both local and international clients on a broad spectrum of employment disputes, including unfair dismissals, unfair labour practice, collective bargaining, and unfair discrimination.

Her expertise includes drafting and arguing complex applications such as reviews, rescissions, and urgent matters, and she has represented clients in the CCMA, various Bargaining Councils, and the Labour Court. She also provides strategic counsel on workplace restructuring, employment law considerations in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and POPIA compliance and data protection matters. She has served as an Acting Judge in the Labour Court.

Suemeya holds an LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Postgraduate Certificates in Advanced Company Law I and II and Cyber Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
