Sifiso Msomi

Sifiso Msomi is the Chairman of the Board, a Partner, and Head of the Property & Conveyancing Department at Shepstone & Wylie in Durban, specialising in property law and conveyancing. He concentrates on all aspects of property, including sectional title transactions, notarial bonds, leases, servitudes, and general conveyancing.

He is an internationally accredited mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), with a mediation interest in property‑related disputes.

Sifiso is a member of the Black Lawyers Association (BLA) and its former Deputy Chairman, a former member of the KwaZulu‑Natal Planning and Development Appeals Tribunal, past Chairman of the Children’s Therapy and Assessment Centre, a former non‑executive director of the Durban ICC, and a former member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). He is the Chairman of the Ithwelenye Development Initiative.

He holds a B Proc, LLB, and LLM from the University of KwaZulu‑Natal (UKZN), and is admitted as a Conveyancer and Notary Public.
