Mili Soni

Mili Soni is a Consultant at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and corporate and commercial law. She has over 15 years of experience advising on private and public transactions, initial public offerings, listed company transactions, corporate reorganisations, and restructurings.

Mili has advised Marsh on its acquisition of the insurance brokerage and risk business of Alexander Forbes in South Africa and seven other African jurisdictions; Export Trading Group on onboarding the Public Investment Corporation as a strategic partner; Coca-Cola Beverages Africa on its aborted IPO on the JSE; and Alexander Forbes on the dual track (M&A and IPO) process which resulted in its listing on the JSE. She has also advised Dis-Chem Pharmacies on its listing on the JSE, Delta Property Fund on a private placement and listing, Schneider Electric on its ZAR 850 million sale of Conlog, and the underwriters of Mix Telematics' offering of American Depositary Receipts in the United States. Her experience spans multiple African jurisdictions, including Angola, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.

Mili holds an LL.M in Commercial Law and an LL.B from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.
