Justin Ramages

Justin Ramages is a Partner at Bowmans in Johannesburg, focusing on technology law, telecommunications, M&A, and regulatory compliance across multiple African jurisdictions. He advises clients on technology-driven commercial agreements, corporate and infrastructure transactions, and industry-specific regulatory frameworks.

He has extensive experience in major telecommunications and infrastructure transactions, including the acquisition and deployment of wireless access networks, restructuring of ISPs, RAN procurement, satellite infrastructure agreements, and PAAS and EAAS service models. He also advises on technology and internet asset acquisitions, tourism and media sector structuring, energy and oil and gas transactions, and public sector infrastructure projects. He has been involved in complex corporate and commercial matters including debt-to-equity conversions, sale and leaseback transactions, spectrum pooling arrangements, and multi-jurisdictional deal execution.

Justin holds an LL.D, an LL.M and an LL.B, and has held academic positions at several leading South African universities, including the University of Stellenbosch, Rhodes University, the University of South Africa, and the University of the Witwatersrand.
