Erasmus Theron

Erasmus Theron is a Partner in Shipping & Logistics (including Customs @ Wylie) at Shepstone & Wylie’s Cape Town office. He specialises in international trade, customs, excise and indirect tax consulting, law and litigation. He regularly advises on customs and excise compliance, sugar taxes, customs valuation, tariff classification, rules of origin, African trade, and customs policy.

He has assisted multinational companies, importers, exporters, and manufacturers in the petroleum, tobacco, alcohol, retail, consumer goods, clothing, and textile industries. He also assists local and international clients with landed cost considerations, customs process improvement, and control procedures across various jurisdictions.

Erasmus holds a BLC and LLB (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria (UP), and a Certificate in International Freight Management (cum laude) from UNISA.
