Deon Beachen

Deon Beachen is an In-house Consultant at ENS in the Private Clients practice, specializing in Estate Planning. He advises high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, and multinational families on onshore and offshore estate planning, wealth preservation, and cross‑generational wealth transfer.

Deon works closely with deal lawyers across corporate, finance, real estate, and intellectual property matters to integrate transactional insight with estate planning. He advises on structuring cross‑border Wills and multi‑jurisdictional succession laws, designing tax‑efficient wealth transfer and business succession structures, establishing and administering South African and offshore trusts, and advising on exchange control matters with the South African Reserve Bank. He also resolves estate and trust disputes through litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and counsels banks, wealth managers, and trust companies on fiduciary governance and regulatory compliance.

He holds an LL.B from the University of KwaZulu‑Natal, is a Master Tax Practitioner (South Africa), and completed a Certificate in Advanced Company Law I and II at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and is a member of the Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa and the South African Institute of Tax Professionals.
