Bradley Dunbar

Bradley Dunbar is an Associate in the Johannesburg office, practicing in the firm's Technology Law and TMT practice. His expertise spans telecommunications, data and consumer protection law, broadcasting and related content, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and the public sector.

Mr. Dunbar has advised various multinational e-commerce companies on consumer protection, data protection, and advertising regulatory risks in South Africa, and a leading global retailer on data protection and liability risks arising from the use of AI functionalities for consumer experience and recruitment. He has also advised a premier satellite connectivity provider on the launch of satellite cell backhaul services and the import of equipment into South Africa, and multiple multinational automotive manufacturers on the regulatory framework of AI and data protection requirements. He has been involved in transfer of control and licence applications submitted to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa.

Additionally, Bradley has gained experience through rotations in the mergers and acquisitions, public law and regulatory, and employment practice groups, further enhancing his expertise across complex legal landscapes. He holds a BA (International Relations and Law) and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand, and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
