Bianca Masterton

Bianca Masterton is a Knowledge & Learning Lawyer in the Dispute Resolution Department at Bowmans in the Johannesburg office, specialising in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. She focuses on commercial and banking litigation, with a particular emphasis on business rescue, insolvency and restructuring.

Bianca advises banks and creditors on litigious matters including foreclosures and insolvency, as well as liquidators and trustees on insolvency-related aspects, including the administration of insolvent estates. She has been involved in several insolvency enquiries on behalf of creditors, has drafted opinions on insolvency law, and represents and advises business rescue practitioners and companies under business rescue supervision. She is a member of the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association (SARIPA).

Bianca holds a B.Sc. and an LL.B. from the University of the Witwatersrand, and has completed Advanced Certificates in Insolvency Litigation and Administration Practice and Business Rescue Practice from the University of Pretoria.
