Ashleigh Brink

Ashleigh Brink is a Senior Associate in the Cape Town office, practicing in the firm's Technology Law and TMT practice. She advises international and local clients on technology, AI, telecommunications, and intellectual property transactions, with expertise spanning software licensing, AI and software product development and commercialization, AI corporate governance, SaaS, IT services, managed capacity services, IP assignments, and IP licensing.

Ms. Brink has been involved in multiple corporate transactions in the technology and telecommunications sectors, including advising the City of Cape Town on its Broadband Infrastructure Programme, advising NCR Corporation on the acquisition of Altron TMT, and advising Noodle Corporation on the acquisition of Hubble Studios. She has conducted due diligence investigations for major transactions including Ardagh Group's ZAR 1 billion acquisition of Consol, the acquisition of South Africa's largest carrier and data center provider, and the listing of Coca-Cola Africa. She also advises Laer AI Inc., a California-based AI legal discovery company, on customer license agreements, and advises a major U.S. bank on the use of open-source datasets and AI models for AI product development.

She holds an LLM in Law, Science & Technology from Stanford Law School and an LLB (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch. She is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and to the California State Bar.
