Wendy Shih

Wendy Shih is a Senior Associate in the Asia Practice Group at ENS, specializing in corporate and commercial law. She advises foreign companies, particularly from Asia, on entering and operating in the South African market.

She has a distinguished track record advising leading Asian corporations with an operational base in South Africa, including several of the country's most prominent Asian banks, as well as clients in the telecommunications, mineral resources, real estate, project development and tyre manufacturing sectors. Her practice spans cross-border transactions, regulatory compliance and company secretarial services for publicly listed companies, state‑owned enterprises and privately held entities.

Wendy holds a B.A. and an LL.B. from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is admitted as an attorney, notary public and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa and is fluent in Mandarin and English.
