Sizwe Mntambo

Sizwe Mntambo is an Associate at Bowmans in Johannesburg, specialising in telecommunications law, technology law, and intellectual property law. He advises clients across the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, with particular expertise in IP licensing, ownership and assignment, and the IP and technology implications in M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, public offerings, and corporate restructuring.

Sizwe has advised clients on due diligence investigations focusing on information technology and intellectual property, general commercial legal matters and transactional work relating to technology, IP, and telecommunications, as well as regulatory compliance matters. He recently advised a telecommunications company on the buy-back of power-as-a-service assets from a tower company, drafting various agreements to give effect to the transaction. He has also gained experience through rotations in corporate investigations, commercial property, and mergers and acquisitions practice groups.

Sizwe holds a BCom in Law & Corporate Finance and Investment and an LL.B from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
