Priyanka Raath

Priyanka Raath is an Executive in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice, specialising in Data Protection Law. She advises clients on information technology, data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity matters across a range of sectors, including mining, telecommunications, financial services, insurance, and software development.

She has experience in complex technology and outsourcing transactions, including those involving the metaverse and the implementation of responsible artificial intelligence (AI). She assists local and international clients in becoming compliant with privacy laws and maintaining compliance, and has expertise in digitisation strategy, platform and website compliance, advertising, marketing, data protection, privacy and cybersecurity compliance audits, compliance risk assessments, and remediation. She also investigates, contains, and remediates data breaches and cybersecurity incidents.

She holds an LL.B from the University of KwaZulu‑Natal and an LL.M from Harvard University, and is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
