Chigo Mabila

Chigo Mabila is not a lawyer in private practice. She is a Pro Bono Associate for Africa at DLA Piper, co‑leading the firm’s access to justice initiatives across the region. She advises non‑governmental organisations, pro bono clearinghouses, SMMEs, and individual clients, focusing on advancing women’s rights, protecting children, and strengthening good governance. She has served on the legal team acting for the Helen Suzman Foundation in its review application concerning the termination of the Zimbabwe Exemption Permits. She holds an LL.M (Procedural Law) from the University of Pretoria (2025), an LL.B (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria (2019), and a Course in Deceased Estates Practice from the University of South Africa (2023). She is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
