Bonnie Steyn

Bonnie Steyn is a Partner in the firm's Dispute Resolution Department, based in the Cape Town office, specializing in Health Care Law. Her practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution with particular emphasis on medical law and malpractice, professional indemnity insurance, and personal injury.

Ms. Steyn has represented major hospital groups in inquest proceedings, defended medical professionals and hospitals in civil claims, and drafted responses on behalf of medical practitioners for filing with the HPCSA. She also assists insurers with preliminary investigations, defends insureds in civil claims, and institutes subrogated recovery actions, as well as advising leading insurance companies on policy response, interpretation, and wording.

She holds BCom and LLB degrees from Stellenbosch University and a Certificate in Medicine and Law (cum laude) from the University of South Africa. She is an admitted attorney, notary, and conveyancer.
